We are a community group representing the broader public and have no political affiliations.

The Objects of MCPA are:

1.  To promote the protection and enhancement of environmental, recreational, educational, cultural, heritage, social and scenic values of the Mt Coot-tha precinct, including the Mt Coot-tha trust lands, Mt Coot-tha forest, Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and surrounding parklands.

2.  To consider the likely impacts of climate change in promoting the protection and enhancement of those values stated in Object 1 above.

3.  To mobilise community engagement and political support in pursuit of the protection and enhancement of those values stated in Object 1 above.

​

4.  To oppose activities, uses and developments that degrade or threaten those values stated in Object 1 above.

​

Your enthusiasm and financial contribution will assist to protect Mt Coot-tha and the Botanic Gardens.  These are places of great natural and created beauty, and are iconic breathing spaces for you, your children, and your grandchildren's inheritance, as they were yours.
