‘Emma Markwell, an anti-zipline campaigner and MCPA member, passed away on March 8th after a long illness, aged 41. Emma had been ill for 15 years, and three years ago learned that hope was fading for a recovery. Yet during the ziplines campaign Emma was remarkable; engaging, bright, cheerful, positive and resolute. Emma was an active committee member and a bright face standing up for Mt Coot-tha on roadsides, at protests, and in the media’. – Peter Hale
